Where worlds emerge from colliding perspectives and blending dimensions, from the tilting of textures, with Meta_Epics this is where we search for our narrative.
By using the tools that have evolved from our earlier work on self-structuring, generative spatial image and sound installations, we offer the audience a very physical confrontation with the non-referential worlds, emerging from our on-stage interaction with the algorithms that shape them.
Four thematically distinct chapters stem from experiments with the virtual spatial environment that we developed for the creation of both image and sound. This environment enables us to formulate behavioral rules which orchestrate the simultaneous modulation of perspectives, positioning, lighting and shapes of a networked set of image objects, and the concurrent spatial and timbral modulation of the connected sound generators.
The perceptual engagement of the audience is aided by their arrangement in the middle of a powerful surround sound installation, facing a double projector wide screen video horizon, allowing the projected image and sound to overtake the onlookers’ orientation and sense
